First of all, you get better communication with your employees. When you succeed in this, you get employees to independently make improvements and problem solutions. They don’t wait for your orders and you don’t have to always be around with control.
There is a difference between traditional management and Lean management
Lean management differs from traditional management in that the triangle is turned upside down. The manager still sets the direction, but instead of telling the employees what to do, the lean manager will facilitate that the employees are involved.
The involvement of the employees systematically takes place. This means that there is a system for how to hold meetings, and there is no question of you handing over the leadership to lengthy discussions.
Goal management and visibility are also crucial to success with Lean. The method makes the employees understand and achieve the goals you set for the farm.
Lean is more than whiteboard meetings and order. There is a multitude of different methods, and they must be used as tools for specific challenges.

You must learn something about the method first – either by joining a Lean group or taking a course. You can also get a course on your farm. Next, you prioritise what you want to achieve first and plan for it. Then it’s just a matter of getting started! It doesn’t happen all at once, and it’s not a quick fix either, but you will still see a difference in the employees and production relatively quickly.
